... Leisure ... WAY TO GO VANCOUVER - YOU DID IT!
Vancouver BC is a northwest coast city with a beautiful location just on the border with The USA, about 150 miles north of Seattle. It's natural beauty and climate are very unique, attracting many foreign tourists as well as Canadians from all over the country. Here is everything one would want to experience in a natural, wild environment, yet right in the city. From the ocean and beautiful northern beaches, in a short drive one could go skiing on the nearby slopes of the famous Rocky Mountains, hiking the trails around numerous lakes experiencing  the touch of northern rain forests, take a boat ride along the mighty Fraser River and experience many other exciting natural environments. The location and all different natural formations create a unique microclimate with mild temperatures throughout a year, with warm summers extended to even late October. As in Seattle, Vancouver BC is (in)famous by it's many rainy, gray days in the winter. However, winters are usually with very little or no snow in the city. One of the biggest events in the city was the Olympic Bid win on July 02. 2003, for 2010 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Games. Concerning the microclimate and absence of snow in the city, with more and more sunny days every year, these games might become famous as the first Winter Olympic Games that look like the Summer ones! But, no worries, the magic mountainous nearby Whistler, a partner in the crime, always has over 10 feet of snow in it's long winter period.
About Vancouver tourist attractions there are many available web resources for research and fun. The links offered here are just a glimpse of what is out there for you to explore.
