Across the cemetery in Jagodina, there is a Russian Soldier Memorial Park built for the Russian soldiers participating in freeing this area from the German Nazi army. This is very common throughout Eastern Europe. Without Russian help, the whole WWII would have been different. The Americans only got to help when it was obvious that the war was close to be over. They are still unfairly given most of the credit for it. The Russians lost millions of lives fighting for the world's freedom. It must not be forgotten. |
