... Mix ... Digital and analogue media mixed together is the media of my primary, but not exclusive, interest today. My intent is to preserve the effects and qualities of traditional paintings while still introducing digital enhancements. Digital art, when the software is not based on traditional qualities, produces great effects in terms of conceptual idea, atmosphere, mood, feelings, etc. However, most of the time the artwork is somehow detached from the creator because it lacks the actual contact between the artist and the surface: brush strokes or lines in particular, which mainly give distinguished character to traditional paintings. In mixed media the best of both is brought before the audience.
