... Journey ... What is World Music? First, it's music from all over the world. Dah! Second, it's music with local, often ethno, folk sounds. The instruments used reflect the local music traditions. The vocals often do it as well. Third, it's also music that uses those ethno and folk influences from everywhere, no matter the local traditions, like Jesse Cook, or Loreena Mckennitt, or even Sting today.
