Being against  war DOES NOT mean being pro terrorism or any evil regime!
Being against  war DOES NOT mean being against all Americans!
Being against  war DOES NOT mean supporting the deaths of our soldiers!
What is that idea, or "national interest"  worth the lives of our sons?
If every parent taught their children that every war is the ultimate evil, there would be peace in the world!
Violence destroyed Rome

I can't but stop and ask: is this all recession thing maybe intentionally created by the US Government? Well, since it happened the price of oil has dropped dramatically, the mortgages the US banks had started to give away with no real cover a couple years ago just didn't make any sense back than but now it does and than some, the Canadian dollar plummeted so that we are again cheep to the pockets of our neighbor, the US dollar got stronger in comparison to the Euro...... I don't know, but this is really very fishy...

Happy Holidays, and the very best and recessionless New Year!

A puzzling realization... I've just checked the links of this page to see if everything is in order, and curiously enough - the text under the link below about the "Occupation Zones" was changed into "Other Zones"... Check it out below.

Have you ever heard of "Unincorporated and Incorporated Territories of the USA"? It will really make you think... Check it out here. Pay attention to scroll down the page to the section "
Occupation Zones"...

In most other countries, people protest by violence and aggression. It brings pain, death and destruction. Here in Canada people write letters, draw placates, compose songs and sing! I just love this country...

I've met a friend's friend. He is a huge guy, around 7 feet or so he appears to be, has a family, a child... Nothing too unusual. Later I learnt  when he was a baby his step mother was leaving him over night in their garage in the winter only in his diapers... Once, she punished him by putting him in a dryer for almost a whole cycle...
Unbelievable, but true...

A husband decides that his "brain dead" wife should be disconnected from the feeding tubes and let die (killed).
The parents, although her closest relatives, are legally prevented to stop it.
The wife clearly shows happiness and sadness on her face.
The politicians and citizens are in process of making the final decision, while the wife is still disconnected from the tubes.
Animal Protection activists are fighting for better conditions for a Hippopotamus in a Zoo...

This was on the news today. Vancouver, but could have been anywhere.
A teenage customer at a gas station refuses to pay and drives away. The young attendant runs after his car. The driver runs over him and drags him under the car for seven and a half kilometers! His friend later says he was told by the driver he was hearing the guy crying in pain under the car...

Last night I saw another TV show about all inventions brought to the world by Romans, one of several similar shows I've seen here in the last eight years since I moved to Canada. Immediately, I realized that i I never saw a show about the Ancient Greece contribution. Moreover, it struck me that in the same show they said  Romans stole  all (or at least most) of it from Greece - only perfected it, which I think is true. I wander why is it that The West likes to think about Rome as the greatest contributors in everything we know today? Is it because of the religious prejudice, the difference between cultures today, or perhaps - ignorance?

To understand the Serbs, look at their art in Kosovo, says WALDEMAR JANUSZCZAK.
The Sunday Times: Culture: Art
London, May 16 1999
The article is inspired and written with such understanding of the culture and it's art that I believe most Serbians wouldn't be able to write it better. Read the whole article here.

Statistics show that North Americans spend more money on food for their pets than for their children! Situation in Europe is not much different!

Where is the limit of Canadian tolerance? Today a safe injection site, tomorrow? Paying for heroin from tax payers pockets? Government sponsored sites where poor murderers can kill safely? Is this really going to solve the problem of drug addictions? Why not spending that money on getting those people to hospitals and get them clean? And, where those poor people get the money for those expensive drugs anyway??

   judg·men·tal  (from Dictionary.com)
adj.
1.Of, relating to, or dependent on judgment: a judgmental error.
2.Inclined to make judgments, especially moral or personal ones: a marriage counselor who tries not to be judgmental.

Judging each other and being judgmental is widely accepted as a bad thing. Perhaps, we should reconsider. By being judged, we usually get hurt, by being hurt we think about ourselves - and change. Therefore, we grow to better people.

Canada: a minimal BSE (Mad Cow Desease) risk country
With the recent detection of BSE in Canada (May 20, 2003) 1, Canada’s status has changed. In light of this event, there are a number of compelling reasons to conclude that the incidence of BSE in Canada is that of a minimal risk country as defined by the OIE’s Terrestrial Animal Health Code 2 based on the primary criteria that there has been less than one in a million cases of BSE in each of the last four consecutive 12-month periods within the cattle population over 24 months of age.

I wander, who is going to get the virus from  that infected cow, and eventually die from it: Is it you? Or You? Or, perhaps, it's going to be me?
