As soon as I arrived to Vancouver, I started drawing. That was the best way of fighting the cultural shock and nostalgia. It was also a chance to immediately start learning about the available media, papers, art supplies etc, and to get to know the wildlife here. I like the way pencil appears on the watercolor paper - I thought it might be similar to the feel of penguin feathers... Maybe...
