Sport and Recreation Complex project consists of 15 sheets 1000x700, with the first half focusing on urban analysis of the town, down to the actual location of existing recreational area in the town. The second half is architectural design of a complex of indoor and outdoor pools. The building complex has clearly defined two areas: outdoor pools with the access building containing a 500 people seating area for an Olympic size pool, and all accessory spaces (entry with wet and dry corridors, dressing areas, washrooms/showers, etc). The roof is an extension of the seating area also used as a sun tanning area with views over the whole complex. The rest of the outdoor pools are connected to the main one, and extends along the main building in a continuous dynamic flow resembling a nearby river, with features intended for children. The river is made a part of outdoor pools by using an existing pneumatic dam that creates a small pond with an Olympic size pool area and seating areas on the river banks. One part of the space is a green area for recreation and relaxation. The main building contains three levels: The first level is underground and contains a bowling lane with a small seating area, sauna, hydrotherapy, massage, first aid, and mechanical, electrical, power, and heating, etc. The sauna and hydrotherapy are vertically connected to the pool space. On the main level are located a 25 meter pool with a 250 people seating area, and the recreational pools in flowing form extending from inside to outside. The main entrance with an atrium is centrally located. There are also wet and dry corridors, washrooms/showers, wardrobe areas and restaurant. The third level contains office and administrative area with a roof terrace, a restaurant and access to the seating area. The restaurant is vertically connected to the one on the main floor. |
