One of the main challenges was to add new functions on the North retaining the existing major structural wall with minimal intervention, while at the same time maintaining uninterrupted circulation flow. The main entry was located on the north-east toward the main parking lot where majority of students come from. The existing main entry becomes secondary connection to the path leading to the main building on the west. There is a gathering place along the north facade, under the main "screen". The main floor addition are video editing labs, audio lags, new washrooms, offices.
