... Ponder About ...
Architecture
is the
most realistic and practical art. Or at least that's what it should be. Sculpture which lives and changes with the
environment and people in constant interaction, yet, remaining a constant value
through centuries. It’s not only a pleasant balance of building design forms,
functional arrangement of space, material chosen for the given character,
harmonious color combination, circulations, light, communications… it is
the spirit of the owner, habits of people living in the building, their
feelings, good and bad times, memories… Spirit which comes from the surrounding
hills or mountains, trees, quiet countryside or crowded urban environments from
the childhood.
The design is directly
affected by the site and its surroundings, it breathes with it. It is reflected
in outside appearance as well as the interior that borrows its character from
all furnishing elements. It’s everything from an ashtray, through a curtain,
carpet, bookshelf, sun catcher, everything from a picture frame to the painting
in it.
It’s the music of the life lived in it.
As much as it all mirrors the proud owner, it's a masterpiece of the artist.
