In the next 30 years, from the 60's, there has been much industrial development. The town has one of, if not the biggest power cable and accessories factory in Serbia. Food industry is reasonably developed because of the agricultural character of the region. Lots of services, growing even faster in the recent years. Tourism was never fully developed, although the presence of the old medieval architecture around the town has always attracted tourists from all over Europe.
