... Regional Plan With Migration Scheme ...
|
The region whose center is Jagodina is called Pomoravlje. The name comes from the river Morava that forms a valley with very fertile lands. Along the river, there are two other towns, Cuprija (named after the bridge over Morava that served as an important ling on the main road to Istambul), and Paracin. These towns are very closely connected and only 10km from each other. Many other smaller towns, with all together population of over 300 000, are very much oriented toward Jagodina as the main industrial and cultural centar in this area. Not too far away, around 40km, there is the town of Kragujevac. Although the bigger, it's not on the main route through Serbia. The scheme is showing the gravitational area potential for using this new recreation center. |
